Elizabeth Jennings and Michael Roush Present on Asset Development Webinar Hosted by Florida Center for Inclusive Communities Back to news

February 17: NDI's Michael Roush and Elizabeth Jennings were co-presenters on the Asset Development Strategies for Persons with Disabilities:  Can I work?  Can I Save? webinar, hosted by the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities at the University of South Florida.  The two presented information on four strategies to asset development:

  1. Join a Financial Institution
  2. Improve Financial Literacy
  3. Claim the Earned Income Tax Credit
  4. Participate in a Matched Savings Program.

The Florida Center for Inclusive Communities (FCIC) at the University of South Florida was established in October 2005 through a University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service grant award from the Administration on Developmental Disabilities.

Through leadership in research and evaluation, theory, policy, capacity building, and practice the FCIC is committed to developing a range of supports and services in the areas of Community Supports, Early Childhood, Transition, Education, Employment, Health, Interdisciplinary Training, Public Policy, and Cultural Competence.
